2022 All State-Top Ten

2022 All State Festival Solo & Ensemble (formerly MYAF)

Every year our soloists and ensembles perform two select pieces for adjudicators in mid-January for MSVMA District Solo & Ensemble festival. If soloists and ensembles receive superior ratings they can move on to the MSVMA State Solo & Ensemble. It is there that soloists and ensembles perform another 2 selections (at least one new selection) as well as demonstrate their musicality through sight reading. Among this level of performers, adjudicators select the top ensemble, small ensemble and soloists from their site. Other select ensembles have their recordings at S&E sent on to a "listneing panel" that will select the remaining ensembles to make what is now known as the "All-State Festival Solo & Ensemble". TCAPS has 4 large-ensembles that have been selected as well as 2 soloists and one small-ensemble (duet).
